Biblical concert musically retells an old story with new emotion

Northwestern University and the University of Chicago collaborated last week to perform James MacMillan's St. John Passion, a musical retelling of the death of Jesus Christ. Various musical sequences accompanied with the scripture heightened the original story's emotion while adding another level of sentiment and opening up its interpretation to the audience.

Edgewater takes a small-town spin on a worldwide movement

The Little Free Libraries movement began in 2009 by two men from Wisconsin and has since spread its "take a book, leave a book" mission around the world. Today, the community of Edgewater in Chicago is taking the idea and making it into something it can call its own.
